About
A journey of a million steps started over three decades ago, and brought us here to a world full of ever-changing moments. From everyday experiences of work, family, friends, health, finances, pandemics, community, and sometimes the loss or lack of these things along the way. All culminating into the true definition of mental health, a holistic state, comprised of all that we are experiencing not just a singular moment. But in truth, sometimes it is those singular moments that we struggle with the most and find ourselves stuck, unable to move. Moving Emotions Therapy was created for exactly those moments, where movement through those times is imperative and yet really hard to do. We do not have all the answers and really, we believe that no therapist/counselor should believe that they do. Here we help you find and hone into the skills you already have and help you use them in a way that gets you unstuck. We utilize the principles of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and incorporate the teachings of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), since after all our goal is to move through and with the emotions, which starts with just a thought. As we think about our experience of being Veterans and members of the LGBTQ community we feel caring and yet awkward mentioning it in today's world because we feel it has become a sales pitch or marketing scheme but for us, inclusive care simply is a requirement. We would not receive care anywhere that does not provide it and so we require the same of ourselves. That also means that we are open to hearing about your experience as we know that the world views "_____" people in a box and that's just not really representative of the individual experiences we each have, even in the same community.

Mission
Our goal is simple, to allow you to be you and in a short period of time help you move through and with the emotions that get you stuck or have you stuck now.
Vision
We see ourselves becoming an integrated part of the community, partnering with organizations and people that move; physically, emotionally, and geographically with the intention for us to expand our virtual therapy and clinical supervision services beyond Pennsylvania.
